Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood is not a law firm

Columnist Joe Klopus interviews Jon Scofield about his work with Medeski, Martin & Wood in this week's Preview.

“(We play) stuff that grooves like crazy, and the kids like to dance to it,” Scofield said. “But every night, we play the most experimental music. … “It’s interesting to me that this group has a big audience of people who are not necessarily jazz aficionados, but still they’re playing some of the most advanced music out there.”

Below is "Little Walter Rides Again" from the foursome's latest album, "Out Louder."
