Stub Hub claims to have Garth Brooks tickets for sale right now.
Which is interesting, considering the information about ticket sales isn't scheduled to be released until noon Wednesday (Oct. 10).
The ticket prices range from $499.50 to $2,450.
We'll have info about sales here as soon as it's released. Among the rumors we're hearing is that the show (or shows) will be through mail order. We have no idea if that is true, but it would make a certain kind of sense, especially in light of the other rumor that there will be more than just the one show. If Garth's peeps used mail order, they'd know how many tickets they'd sell and if they'd need to add another date.
We'll see.
But be sure to read the caveat that shows up, in fine print, at the bottom of the screen during the purchasing process:
"Tickets typically ship within 72 hours, BUT MAY NOT SHIP FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. Your choice of a shipping method does not determine when sellers ship tickets. Please keep this in mind when you select your shipping address. TICKETS WILL ARRIVE AT LEAST ONE BUSINESS DAY PRIOR TO THE EVENT (emphasis added)."
In other words: No one is holding tickets yet; those who feel fairly certain they'll get some (legally or unscrupulously) are trying to see how much they might get. They're setting the scale.
You can buy World Series tickets right now, too, if you want, and we don't even know who's playing yet.

I think ALL brokers should not be allowed to buy tickets until the public has. And scalpping should be against the law across the world. If people would quit buying high price tickets then the brokers would go broke. Now that's a nice thought.

So if you can't resell tickets, then should you be able to resell anything that you obtain legally?

so why is selling tickets for over "face value" so evil when car dealers, stores, gas stations and every other business on earth sells their products for well over what it costs them to get.
Brokers aren't doing anything illegal they are obtaining tickets by buying them cheap and resell high.
And they are business people they know that if they price all the tickets at $3000 then there is no way the place will fill and they will eat their tickets. They set the scale based upon demand. No deman prices come down. High demand and prices go up.

If people weren't dumb enough to pay Stub Hub and other ticket brokers above face value prices, they would go out of business. The reality is that as long as there are people dumb enough to spend more than face value for tickets, there will be ticket brokers. One way to reduce the problem is to increase the supply of tickets -- this is an easy one in the case of the Sprint Center. (1) stop artificially manipulating the market by blocking off tickets for fan clubs, VIPs, radio stations, and other groups, (2) make All non-suite tickets available at the same time and to the general public. This allows everyone a fair shot at the same pool of tickets. Let the radio stations and other groups pay ticket brokers ridiculous prices for their promotional tickets, rather than the working public.

I wish the artist would throw a lawsuit on these facilities for allowing customers to buy before public & "making money off of them"
They should have used Kemper Arena in the first place as at least there is parking!

What I don't get is how StubHub has row and seat information. It's not as though they are just saying they have tickets, they are stating they have specific tickets. I find that very interesting.
Also, people need to remember that it is not against Missouri state law to sell tickets to any event other than a sporting event at higher than face value. Concerts are fair game for inflated ticket prices; Chiefs games are not. However, Kansas state law is different. Why do you think there are brokers in Oak Park Mall selling Chiefs tickets?!

I read they gave tickets away in Chicago about 2 months ago to the a G.B. concert location to be named later , rumored to be K.C....So those are prob. the tickets that are for sale now
