According to the festival's organizers, Lawrence grunge kings Paw will perform for the first time in about seven years at this year's Wakarusa festival. The band is set to perform from 1:30 to 2:30 on Friday, June 6, in the revival tent. Above, the boys roar through "Jesse," which sounds better than ever.

I hope this inspires them to make an appearance in KC. I saw them about a dozen times in their prime. Anyone remember the LAZR rock stage at the Spirit Fest? I still remember to this day, one of their many rumored "last shows". May 1st 1996 at the Hurricane. It was about 120 degrees in the place and it smelled like BO, piss and beer. Incredible show. Of course, they sprinkled in shows over the next few years. The Liberty Hall show in April 1998 was a zoo. A friend I went with had 3 beers spilled on him and his glasses broken before the first song was even over. Then there was the Bottleneck shows a few years later. I think they all dressed as characters from The Wizard of Oz. After that... I think they were pretty much done, and the LAZR had changed formats. Bummer.

Would be most excited if this were true, and DEFINITELY HOPE they would extend the reunion to other venues (and dare I dream record...). Miss you guys. Always under rated.
