Got my tickets this morning. According to Pollstar, the "An Evening With My Morning Jacket" concerts (such as the one in Kansas City) will, according to the band, feature "epic, extended sets."

And that sounds like an amazingly good time to me.

I'm in too...they're FINALLY coming...

And the venue couldn't be more perfect.

... should be great.

Just to play Devil's advocate for a few... what's the purpose of a pre-sale and how does it impact tix when they go on sale to the general public? Why bother? You have 2 different sale dates, for the exact same event at the same price (3 if you go the fan club route ala Police and Ms. Montana). To me, an artist/promoter runs the risk of alienating the fans that aren't privy to this info, in the event it sells out. (For the record, my better half did buy her Tina Turner tickets during presale.) Regardless, I'm probably going. Wife has no interest... so if anyone wants to split a cab to and from Prairie Village/Brookside, I am probably in.

We were talking about this today: "Pre-" as in "before" as in "Get 'em before they're all gone for the 'general public' sale." On Thursday of last week, a local radio station was advertising the Tina Turner tickets sale date as Monday. If you really wanted good seats and didn't know about the "pre-sale," it could aggravate some "pre-existing" condition, like hypertension.

Thanks... I've got a pretty good handle on "pre"

I don't want to miss a great show because I can't get tickets fast enough (which has happened several times). If I've got the opportunity to buy a good seat before the general public can get it, I'm going to use that to my advantage.
