Ladies' night at Knuckleheads

Tonight's lineup: Kathleen Edwards, a Canadian who traffics in  alt-country/Americana. Her opening act: Last Town Chorus, featuring singer/lap-steel guitarist Megan Hickey. Above: Hickey's transcendent cover of David Bowie's "Modern Love." Edwards does a fine cover or two herself, like "A Face in the Crowd" by Tom Petty. Here, she and John Doe play Gram Parsons and Emmylou. Show time is 8 p.m. Get more info, including directions, here.

Knuckleheads just keeps on pulling in better and better acts. I've always enjoyed the venue and this should be a incredible show tonight. For those who have never been to Knuckleheads, tonight would be a good time to check it out. Kathleen's new disc is really good and I was impressed with the music I have heard from openers, Last Town Chorus. Can't wait.......
