Anybody know how you qualify for the pre-sale?

I was told that AEG was still crossing Ts and dotting I's on this thing as late as this afternoon because this show all happened pretty quickly. Should have something by today's end or early tomorrow.

How disappointing. Another pre-sale for a concert. I was really looking forward to this show as I've never seen him in concert and have been a long-time fan AND its my bday on 8/24. If there are no tickets left come saturday morning (as I doubt there will be), then so be it.

Here's what I don't understand. Why is it that for shows that are a no-brainer quick sell outs, there is always some sort of pre-sale? Just gives the brokers an early advantage. I've never purchased a ticket from a broker and never will. No ticket is worth paying more than face value for.

Pre-sale tickets are usually limited to a small amount. There will be tickets available on saturday, although probably not very long.

I've been to four U.S. shows on this tour. All at places where the show "sold out" early. And in each case you could've gone to the ticket office the day of the show and bought a ticket...or gotten one for well under face value outside the arena.

There's lots of hype for Bruce shows (as well there should be, IMHO), but I've yet to go to a show on this tour where you couldn't get in (for at or under face value) if you wanted to.

Take the Omaha show in March. Sold out in like 12 minutes. And brokers ended up taking a bath on those tickets. They were available on eBay for way under face in the couple weeks before the show.

Seriously, I just wouldn't worry about ticket availability. Whether you buy them Friday/Saturday or buy them cheaper from a broker who's trying to unload them later, you'll get in one way or the other.

So now (2:30 p.m. Thursday), Ticketmaster is showing no pre-sale info for Springsteen. Are they waffling? What's the story?
