what up

"refurbished Beaumont Club" ??

really?
please tell more about this.

I always said that place was no good for seeing the band, cuz the stage was too low, or was the floor area too high
anyway ,,,,
Did they lower where people stand, or raise the stage?

CUZ..I wanna see too
:( and I miss the Grand Emporium.

It's closed now and won't reopen until March. I know they're re-doing the bathrooms ... I'll know more soon.

THX:), udaman TF,

kcmom

I can't think of anything there that DIDN'T need to be "refurbished!" : )

mankvill

Holy crap, that's awesome.
I'm in fo sho.

Steve

I last went there for She Wants Revenge and the bathrooms scarred me :) Hope it's ready for Katy Perry.

Them were infamous toilets. One night when the line to the ladies room was a mile long, I walked into the men's room and saw a stout woman trying to pee in one of the urnials, facing out ... never mind.

what up

LMAO!!!heheheheh HAHAHA

did anyone ever go into the office to buy tickets? it looked like a burglary, but it was normal... OMG...LOL

-phil.

Speaking of the ticket office, is it still "temporarily closed" as it was a couple of weeks ago? I need to bypass the horrendous Ticketmaster service charges for a show coming up...

Lauren

This is awesome. I can't wait until they come to KC.

Steve

Off subject...Lily Allen owes me a visit to KC. She has tour dates now and nowhere near here. I had Liberty Hall tickets two years ago.

So many shows get oversold at the Beaumount club and I remember being so packed in for Death Cab for Cutie a fews years back, as well as a sold-out Guster show (I went for Nada Surf), that I could barely breath. I could not see the stage from about halfway back at both shows and in the back of my mind, I was wondering what would occur if a fire broke out, as I couldn't move more than a foot in any direction. Long story short, I'd rather bands play the Uptown than suffer the friggin' Beaumont club.....ever! I'll pass on this show.
