A highlight among these smaller shows is the Arc Angels, the Texas blues-rock band from the ’90s that recently reunited. Members include Stevie Ray Vaughan’s drummer Chris Layton and dual singer/guitarists Charlie Sexton and Doyle Bramhall II (who’s been touring with Clapton).
Online reports indicate founding bassist Tommy Shannon (also of Stevie Ray’s band) isn’t part of the reunion. The Arc Angels plan to release a live DVD with 2005 footage and start work on a new album.
