SHOW WAS AWESOME! I missed Nashville Pussy, but Reverend Horton Heat was really fun!

And Motorhead really are legends. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Review + Setlists from both bands on my site!

ROCK N' ROLL AIN'T WORTH THE NAME
IF IT DON'T MAKE YA STRUT!

Yeah, me too - I was on the floor for MOTOR(FREAKING)HEAD. Uh-uh! You said 'head'. Guess now there's a call for LEMMY and crew here in the states. They've played Kansas City three times now in the past three years. Way to go!

Wish I would have seen this post before the show. Was still drinking beers at the Flying Saucer when NP went on. Got inside the Midland around 8:15 figuring to catch the last part of their show and instead literally saw only about 2 minutes of their set. For all the whiners about Springsteen showing up late to his Sprint show last year, there should be almost equal outrage for any act that starts BEFORE posted ticket time.

Don't be late

As one of those so-called "whiners" that went to Springsteen last year and didn't appreciate The Boss hitting the stage over two hours late (I'm sorry, but for someone who has to get up and work in the morning, a two-hour late start is simply beyond the pale, as MY Boss won't let me come in two hours late), I agree that starting a show early is also bullsh*t. Nashville P*ssy was pretty damned good for a band that only got a half hour to prove themselves......I miss the original female bassist who breathed fire on stage and made out with the other female guitarist in the band, mid-song, but this version of NP still rocked! Hoped those beers were good..........

They were good and cheaper than inside the Midland. Tix were free and judging by the mixed reviews for NP, I'm not really complaining about missing them, just figured the start time would at least stay true to what was posted on the ticket. A guy at the Flying Saucer was talking about the fire-breathing and bottle-sucking stuff (which would have been way cool)that you mentioned but I guess I didn't miss that either.
