She will tour the U.S. in 2011, starting in Baltimore on June 16. A date has not been announced yet, but Kansas City will be on the list, says Live Nation.

Don't know how we missed this announcement. He is coming to the Granada in Lawrence on Oct. 26, a Tuesday. The Rustlanders open. Tickets are $16.50 now; $18 day of show.

On the way in '11: Old 97's

They will release a new album on Oct. 12: "The Grand Theatre, Volume One." They will swing by the Bottleneck in Lawrence on Jan. 28, a Friday. For a synopsis of the new album, see below.

Zac Brown presale

New Alejandro date

The Alejandro Escovedo show at  Knuckleheads has been moved to a day earlier. It is now on Saturday, Oct. 23. Which is better for most, I'm estimating.

The headliner is Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. The support is Middle Class Rut and two good local bands: the Grisly Hand (insurgent country) and Fourth of July (indie-pop and -rock). The date: Saturday, Oct. 23. Presale starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday via the Buzz (96.5 FM). Price: $32.45, all fees included.

The 88s: get the new record
