Would love to check him out, but that starting time of 11:15 or later on a Monday night will keep me away...

advice

If all you are going to do is bitch and complain, please stop posting here, you decrepit old man.

All you do is whine and cry..... "oh boo-hoo..... wha wha whaaaaa.... 11:15 is way past my bed time"

piece of advice for you gramps... move into an old folks home already... at least quit your fkn constant whining.

I wouldn't miss this for anything...can't freaking wait. Stoked! This will probably be the show of the year. Frank is a genius.

pellboy

I probably can't pull this off either, but although this is my first time even hearing about Mr. Turner, I must say I'm very intrigued...sounds like this show could be outstanding. Also, love this little tidbit from his website blog as it plays to a pet peeve of many who visit this board...

"I write from Kansas City, a city that, confusingly enough, is not located in Kansas. Get it together, America, sheesh. Anyways, this place is home to my friends Architects, and tonight we’re playing a show here and looking forward to hanging out with them. The drive here overnight from Colorado was, apparently, flat and uneventful, but I slept through the whole thing, so that’s only hearsay. Sorry Nebraska, I missed you this time round."

Just an fyi, otm...according to his website, he'll be coming back to Crosstown Stattion on Thurs. Nov.18. Maybe that'll work better for you (or me).

the architects are playing???

Thanks for the heads up pellboy, I appreciate it.

My son tells me that I really should check out Frank Turner, says he is almost like a bastard son of Billy Bragg, which I thought was an interesting description!

The Architects are not playing. Frank toured with them with Flogging Molly.

And pellboy, the Nov. 18th listing on his site is a mistake. He's playing Stubb's in Austin that night, and the ticket link goes to the Stubb's ticketing site.

pellboy

D'oh! Thanks,-phil. Well, to those who went, how was it?

-phil.

It was absolutely phenomenal. Easily show of the year, and Frank and his band are one of the tightest, most rock solid bands I've ever seen.

Green

Great show, new to frank and I would have to say I enjoyed all the songs, it was good to hear sons of great dane again as well. After the show I had a nice meet and greet with Frank, seems like a good guy, I asked him about his latest tour with Social Distortion and he was all smiles. I would like to see more shows at Crosstown, its perfect for live music, high stage, nice floor section, a rasied standing area in the back with seating. Other venues take note, this place rocks! It even has a drink ledge in front of the stage, are you kidding, thats awesome! Have fun in the state Frank!!!
