I was 7 when my father brought home a copy of Bill Cosby’s third comedy album, “Why Is There Air?”

My parents, two Irish Catholics raised in New England, already had brought seven of their eight children into the world, and they found a lot to relate to in Cosby’s observations about children, families and marriage.

A vinyl resurrection

The rumors have been confirmed, with a few alterations.

A record store will open in midtown, but not in the site of the former Streetside Records in Westport, which closed in January.

Moved: Bruno and Janelle

The Janelle Monae/Bruno Mars show has been moved from the Uptown Theater to the larger Independence Events Center, which should about double the amount of available tickets. The show is May 28. TIckets are $35 and $43.

Review: Vince Gill

Vince Gill took the Carlsen Center stage thanking the sold-out house for spending their Thursday night with him. “I understand y’all are busy tomorrow night,” he said, alluding to KU's  game against Richmond tonight.
