As of today, Sprint Center and the Midland distribute tickets to all their events via Axs Ticketing platform instead of Ticketmaster. It makes the Sprint Center the first arena owned or managed by AEG to use the system. I went on line this morning to by a ticket to the Lady Antebellum show at the arena on April 6. My impressions:
- It was quick. The entire process took five minutes, including the time it took to enter credit card information.
- It was nice to be able to see where seating was available and then to select the section I wanted instead of waiting blindly for "best available."
- The fees seem comparable to Ticketmasters': The ticket price was $45.90 (for a floor seat). There was a $13 convenience fee and a $3 facility fee. Taxes were $3.60. That's $19.60 (42 percent of the face value) for a total of $65.50. Those fees were slightly lower for the less-expensive seats. The $25 seats, for example, were $37.50 after fees were added (50 percent of face value).
- The delivery options are curious. It's free if you print your tickets yourself (and I dont' know why anyone wouldn't). It costs $5 to have them mailed to you, $6 to have them held at will call. That last one seems to be an incentive to pick one of the other two. The other option: Avoid all fees and go to the box office.
The Sprint Center and AEG are offering some premiums and promotional packages to celebrate the launch of Axs. Go here for details.
when i got online to check it out and went to buy a ticket it rolled me over to ticketmaster. are those just shows that were already ticketmaster before axs took over?

"The other option: Avoid all fees and go to the box office"
Are we talking just avoiding the delivery fees by purchasing at the box-office, or ALL fees? I.e. a $45 ticket will just be $45 + tax(3.60)?

when i've bought tickets at the box office via TM, it was just the face value.

I'm old-fashioned too...I keep my ticket stubs...lots of memories!

Printing your own tickets lowers their value in the secondary market. If you cant go to a show, and need to resell, paper printed tickets get less money... due to counterfeit issues.
That is why someone wouldnt print thier own...
....and it sound like axs is just getting their own piece of THE FREEKING 50% FEE BUSINESS OF CONERTS!!!! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!! THE ARTIST SHOULDE GET THAT MONEY.. NOT THE MIDDLE MAN!!
The only positive here is you can go to the box office yourself, and I bet $50.00 in fees in one year, you wont be able to do that.... seen this crap too many times before.

Yep I sent AXS a message since it says on the website they want feedback, after ticket fees to both Creed shows I bought, I could of bought another ticket!
Same ole shit, and you can't choose your seat just section.
Can't remember what show I went to, not in KC, or the ticket seller, but they had it setup where it showed all the seats and colored out the ones sold and you click your seat and buy it, really was sweet

Don't be deceived, AXS ticketing is a "partner site" to Ticketmaster. The events still show up on Ticketmaster's website and they just redirect you. It's the same swindling and robbery, this time though they put on a mask so you may not know who's really got their hand in your wallet. Disgusting.

Gary - On ticketmaster.com, the Ryan Adams show at the Music Hall will show you all seats (available and unavailable) and let you pick the one(s) you want.
TM calls it the "Interactive Seat Map", but my experience is that it's not available during high volume times (e.g. when the show first goes on-sale) or for all venues.
