He's coming to Yardley Hall in the Carlsen Center at Johnson County Community College on Nov. 4, a Sunday. Tickets are $50 and $60 and are available here or by calling 913-469-4445.
This will be my fourth time seeing LB this year and I was even able to meet him after the show at one of the concerts. He was very humble and down to earth and not 'diva'-like or rude at all. The stop in Lincoln in 2007 is the only time I have heard of him canceling a show due to sound quality and he has toured extensively this past year. The quote in the article (taken from 1979) was referring to the guitar used, not the sound system. If the equipment sounded really bad I could understand why he would cancel if they wouldn't let him use his own. Can't wait to see him again & excited he is making a stop in Kansas.
Magnet The online version of "the bi-monthly, internationally distributed, glossy music magazine that gives well-deserved attention to musicians largely ignored by mainstream publications."
Metacritic Lots and lots of critics praise and bitch about music (and movies, DVDs, games, books and TV).
Paste "The premier magazine for people who still enjoy discovering new music, prize substance and songcraft over fads and manufactured attitude, and appreciate quality music in whatever genre it might inhabit."
Beware of the man-diva.
