Just saw Pollstar and Bon Jovi is going to be at the Sprint Center April 13, 2013. I missed their show in March 2010 here but, went to their show in May 2011 in Des Moines, IA. It was an awesome show.

This New Years Eve show looks interesting... I wonder if it will be a full night until midnight deal, or if it will let out early?

Just saw info that Kid Rock is at the Sprint Center on February 2nd.

KC Jones

How is Kid Rock that popular? Sprint Center? Really? I predict 6,000 attendees (for a Saturday night).

I don't get how he's that popular either, but he does seem to draw from a vast array of fans due to all the different genres his music pilfers. Depending on ticket costs, I'm guessing he pushes closer to 9-10,000. I think he historically draws pretty well here. MO/KS are pretty damn redneck, this area would seem to be right in his wheelhouse.

Kurt

I remember that a previous show by Kid Rock drew around 15,000 at the Sprint Center. He's really popular in KC.

pellboy

Yeah, although I believe that show featured some other artists like Dicky Betts and Run DMC as part of his show. And his Midland charity show sold out in hours as I recall. At any rate, he's extremely popular here.

Really? 15,000? That is amazing! I did see him twice. Once was at Sandstone when he still had Joe C. rapping with him, it was a fun drunken raucous time. The next time I saw him was at Municipal, which I only went to because Tenacious D was opening. The crowd was possibly even crazier... I have never seen so many lap dances in a crowd before or since. I even had some chick trying to grind on me while her boyfriend continually winked at me as if giving me the go-ahead. My girlfriend at the time almost punched her out. Anyway, I had no idea he had even played the Sprint Center before, much less drew 15k. Learn something new every day.
