Rick

Am I blind, or did they not say how much tickets will be?

gsp

Expensive

LiveMusicFan

If you have to ask, you can't afford them. LOL

I'm not really a fan, but I recently downloaded a Fleetwood Mac show from 1975 that's pretty fun to listen to. That's the great thing about the internet these days, you can download things for free that you'd never even try if you had to pay for 'em.

Christine McVie - Keyboards/Vocals
John McVie- Bass
Stevie Nicks - Vocals
Mick Fleetwood - Drums
Lindsey Buckingham - Guitar/Vocals

1. Spare Me A little
2. Rhiannon
3. Why
4. Landslide
5. Over My Head
6. I'm So Afraid
7. Go Your Own Way
8. Oh well
9. Green Manalishi
10. World Turning>Drum Solo>World Turning
11. Blue Letter
12. Don't Let Me Down Again
13. Hypnotized

Endtro

still no Christine McVie on this tour I'm guessing?

Corky

Nope, she says she's permanently retired from the road. That's a shame IMO. She's the goods!

Apparently, she suffers from panic attacks as well as fear of flying.

I was fortunate to have caught what I'm fairly sure was her only solo appearance in KC at the Uptown. She brought a stellar group of guys to back her up. A great concert.

What's a shame, is there are SO many killer tunes she wrote & sang lead on, that will never be heard.

UNLESS?

You attended the wonderful & cheap Fleetwood Mac tribute show that was at the Record Bar, like I did..
(Thanks again, Mr. Moore. Great!!)

I can't be positive, but I seem to recall 'Spare me a Little' being played there. For just ten bucks.

Bet the show at Sprint costs more.

Thanks again, Sonic Spectrum. You made this old hippie very happy with that Mac show....

pellboy

Corky, I realize they have plenty of material to cover sans the McVie songs, but if that's truly the case where they don't play her stuff in concert, that's still a good thing as those songs just wouldn't sound the same w/o her. As said, another completely different band covering those tunes would actually be preferable to me. Ran into this issue when seeing the Doobie Brothers right after Tom Johnston left and hearing mushmouth McDonald struggle thru TJ-sung rockers like China Grove and Long Train Runnin' was painful and traumatic. Fortunately with Mac and unlike the Doobies, I actually like many of the songs sung by their other lead voices.

One of my life time concert highlights, top 100 at least, was seeing Chirtine do the somewhat solo Songbird at the end of the show on the Tusk tour.

That was an excellent version of Fleetwood Mac.

kind of like this...

It seems like Kansas City has become the retirement-home-casino-reunion-basketball-arena-tour stop. I'm done with old bands playing Sprint Center for exorbitant ticket prices and lousy sound. I'm done I tell you!

Tom

Yeah, $200 for a non-close concert ticket is stupid, I am done with big acts at the SC too. Give me bar bands for 10-40 any day over funding the retirement accounts of already millionaire artists.

The thrill is gone.

ps
and ya know, when you take into consideration the ever increasing use of backing track and vocals etc etc.... fk everything about big time modern touring music .... the smaller the hall the better the cheaper the ticket.

PS
IT SHOULD BE A LAW- IF a band uses backing tracks or extra crap or any kind, auto tuning etc ...IT SHOULD BE STATED ON THE TICKET!

Kurt

I'm not sure what tickets will cost for Fleetwood Mac and too many acts are charging way too much for their shows at arenas.

You can see TSO for $30.00 to $68.50 plus a $2.00 venue fee for their 3:00 and 7:30 shows today. I'm going to the 3:00 show and stoked for it. TSO has fair prices and puts lots of money into their tour production also.

I've seen TSO in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and including today will be my 4th time seeing them live. Their website said it will have more lights, lasers, pyro and a few surprises on the stage also.

Kurt

Saw on SC website that tickets are $47.50, $77.50 and $147.50 for this show.

cindy bussjaeger

Um, i would advise anyone & everyone to start saving your $. This was by far the best concert that i have ever been to...by far. Worth every penny. Make sure you get floor seats so you can dance your way to the stage!
