Reader and B2R fan Will Ferleman delivered this short but sweet note on the Rolling Stones show in Wichita on Sunday. It was his third viewing of Mick and the boys on this tour -- and not his favorite of the three...
"The Stones show was, as always, great, but not as good as the Omaha event. I saw them in St. Paul and Omaha on this tour, too. Highlights: "Monkey Man" ... and "Let it Bleed.""Interestingly, they played only two songs off their new record: "Rough Justice" and "Streets of Love.""Mick had some technical difficulties during the first few songs: His ear piece would not stay fastened, etc. Mick had some man chasing him around trying to remedy that problem as he pranced about."The crowd in Wichita--all 30,000--was not as enthusiastic, comparitively. Many sat down even; I could not believe it. During sing alongs with the band, the crowd did not know when to sing; this was most noticeable during "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Mick was rather talkative. He said. "It's great to be in Wichita" -- WichiTAW, said mockingly. And he said that he is a "Wichita virgin." "
