Oops -- guess that one was a bit hard to start out with. Nobody got all five intros correct in my contest last week. Next one will be easier, promise. The songs:
1. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)" - the Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2. "I Want You To Want Me" - Cheap Trick - Cheap Trick At Budokan
3. "An Honest Mistake" - The Bravery - The Bravery
4. "Don't You Want Me" - Human League - Dare!
5. "High and Dry" - Radiohead - The Bends
Congrats to Andy Huber who was first with the most-correct answers. For the record, not one respondent got "An Honest Mistake." Does that mean the Bravery isn't as memorable as they might hope, or that they ape New Order too much? And yep -- everyone who played guessed that was a New Order song (most of them pegging "Blue Monday").
Next time through, I'll stick to a decade or a genre, or maybe even an individual artist. Ah, the possibilities.
