They'll be in town on the same day, but not at the same place.

Alison Krauss and her band, Union Station, will perform at 8 p.m. June 19th, a Tuesday, at Starlight Theater. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster and Live Nation or at Starlight's box office. Prices: $38.50, $42.50 and $48.50. 

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday for John Mayer's show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on June 19. Ben Folds will open the show. Prices: $35.50 (lawn) to $55.50. You can avoid all service charges if you buy your tickets at the amphitheater box office the first week through March 30. Tickets also available via Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

P.S.: Lyle Lovett also will perform at Starlight this summer. Tickets for his July 7 show go on sale at 10 a.m. April 28.
