One of the better shows this weekend doesn't come around until Sunday night, when the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash headline a show at RecordBar. The Sons are a band that came to country via punk. They call Austin their home, but they're really from TexiCali, according to their official bio. They're all players with personalities and their shows are rousing and rocking events. Even better, one of our city's finest songwriters, Howard Iceberg, will open and he'll have all of his Titanics with him. They'll go on a 7 p.m. sharp; the Bastards will follow.
