The band's Web site says tickets go on sale on-line starting April 2 (tomorrow), then to the general public at 10 a.m. April 4 (Friday) via Pipeline Productions. They'll be playing outdoors, not far from the Bottleneck. According to a post from the Lawrence Journal World:
The event — proposed by local promoter Mike Logan — would be May 14. City commissioners have to approve the event, in part, because Logan is asking that much of the 900 block of New Hampshire Street be closed to traffic. He is also seeking permission to sell alcohol at the concert, although commissioners won’t be able to rule on that issue at Tuesday’s meeting. City ordinances require an official public hearing on alcohol issues that won’t be able to be conducted until late April.
So excited!

I'll be at M.I.A. at Liberty Hall that night. Will be fun finding parking.

To make things worse, this is the same night as Radiohead in St. Louis.
On the other hand, there's no reason not to leave the house and hear some great music that night.

It's also the day after the Police/Elvis and a few days before the Cure. When it rains it pours, when it doesn't it droughts.
