I say a prayer of hope for Merle. He will always hold a speacial place in my mind after he opened (quite nicley) for the Rolling Stones in Little Rock a couple of years ago..and he was KEWL!!!

His show these days is pretty much the same as it was five years ago. But he plays all the hits and never mails it in. I had a phoner with him once; real decent guy (but a hardcore isolationist).
