This weekend: Tres bueno

Above: Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are at Crosstown Station tonight. Get there in time to see the opener, Backyard Tire Fire. Tickets: $13 in advance, $15 at the door. Show time is 9 p.m.

Above: Cafe Tacuba is at the Beaumont Club on Saturday. The all-ages show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Apocalypse Meow: A three-day fundraiser for local musician Abigal Henderson will feature dozens of local bands and performers.

Alacartoona is part of a three-band bill at the Brick on Saturday.

Knuckleheads has two big nights planned this weekend. Tonight: Ronnie Baker Brooks and the Blasters. Saturday: The Greencards (below) do an early show at 8:30 p.m. $10. The late show Saturday: Dave Gonzales (Paladins, Hacienda Brothers) and Mike Barfield. Starts at 10:30 p.m.

Review: Crosby/Nash (& Obama) Whenever the alumni from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young get together, there is usually something extra in the air, and it usually carries a familiar aroma. Review: Atmosphere The music performed at the Granada Theater on Thursday -- all four hours of it -- was excellent. Still, the most striking element of the night had nothing to do with hip-hop. Both the overflow audience and the performers on stage were soaring on an exultant post-election high. The festivities resembled a giddy New Year's Eve celebration.
