Tickets for the April 7 Morrissey show at the Midland by AMC go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Prices: $49.50 to $75. However, there's a "buy the new album and get a ticket" pre-sale going on through iTunes starting at 10 a.m. Thursday.
That's what Ticketmaster says; however Kansas City hadn't been added to that presale list as of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The album, "Years of Refusal," comes out Feb. 17.
Also, tickets are on sale now for the B-52's show at the Uptown Theater on May 20. Those are $45 to $95.
I can't think of anything more uplifting during these times than to go hear Morrissey! Moz's lyrics are so positive and joyful. I mean songs with titles like "I don't mind if you forget me" and "Lifeguard sleeping, girl drowning?" What could be more pleasant imagery?

I keep hearing his voice on TV, between NFL Network and "Lie to Me" commercials.

What -- no appreciation of trenchant humour?
