may I ask, why is it,
that the Star's Thursday preview section can NEVER get the fold correct? IT IS ALWAYS OFF CENTER!!!
It has been like this for years, what is the deal?

Off Center, I know what you're talking about - the Kansas City Star's Thursday 'Preview Section' is usually mis-folded. I swear - though I remember when it's been correctly folded, within the last few months. Didn't really think THAT much of it until you mentioned it. HOPE that I'm wrong but many say the KC Star will likely fold in a few years. Upside is that Kansas City has NO other major newspapers. HATE the way they cut back WAY too often anymore.

why would i pay for a newspaper, when I can get on here and argue about the ridiculous content it contains. at least you don't owe the record companies $1.92 million like this poor gal:

The "news" still has to come from somewhere - and once a model is developed to deliver the news that makes business sense it won't be "free". Why should it be? Where do you think the content, or news, comes from? It's from the Finn's and Kraske's and Posnaski's and all of the rest that give us relevant, well-written content to discuss on these boards - and as well writtent and thoughtful as all of you are, I guess I'd still pay to read professional journalism. Personally, I think they were wrong to allow the KCStar website to be free, but that's just me.
