The most successful "Idol" to not win the crown is taking his show from the clubs to the arenas, but Sprint Center isn't one of them. He'll open the tour Oct. 19 in the barn called the Expocentre in Topeka and then veer north to Omaha.
They seem to be getting more rock acts there as of late, like Mudvayne and Avenged Sevenfold / Buckcherry / Papa Roach shows.
Guessing it has to be much cheaper to rent then Sprint or even Kemper, so why not.

The midwest is tough, you have the topeka, wichita, omaha size cities and then you have kansas city, st louis, chicago size cities ... you cant blame a band for skipping out on someone while traveling from state to state. Truth is, I think KC has brought some good stuff lately.

Didn't Daughtry already play here - isn't he from here? Oh wait that's David Cook or is it Nickelback or is it every other crap power ballad band that has a singer with an identical voice to every other crap power ballad band singer? They are all interchangeable. No loss.

Henpecked husbands in the KC Metro who would have been forced to go with their musically-challenged wives, all breathe a sigh of relief.

Daughtry may not be coming here (I know, who really gives a &%#$ ??), but going a bit off-topic, one evolved voice of Comedy, David Cross (from Mr. Show, Arrested Development, etc.) is coming to the Midland on 9/30. Presale tickets are on sale today and the password is FUNNY. I just snagged some. Who knows? Maybe he'll make fun of Daughtry or American Idol. One can hope.......
