On the way: Goo Goo Dolls

They are coming to the Independence Events Center on Aug 19, a Thursday, with Switchfoot and Green River Ordinance. Tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4.

they're a fantastic young pop/rock band out of fort worth...good guys making super catchy pop/rock.

I wish Rush would go to the Sprint Center or IEC, instead of Starlight again. Rush were at Starlight in 2008.

IEC has had Martina McBride, Zac Brown Band, Kenny Rogers,Tech 9NE, Sarah Palin is all I could think of. The Charlie Daniel's band was cancelled.

Limp Bizkit to take tour indoors It has canceled its entire summer tour, including the show at Sandstone, and now plans to do a fall arena tour. The reason, Fred Durst tells TicketNews, is to give fans a better "Limp experience." "Basically, Limp is not an ampitheatre band. We like to see less seats in front of the stage and more floor filled w[ith] fans going bananas," Durst said on Twitter. OK. But it's also easier to camouflage a small crowd in an arena than at amphitheaters.

Rolling Stones: Rumors and number$$ One web site reports that the Stones will tour again but with drummer Steve Jordan, not Charlie Watts. The Stones deny all that, according to another site. Well, they say he's not quitting the Stones, anyway. And there's a money graph, literally, in that first post, about the prices for a proposed Stones tour: "The Stones will play stadiums and have already rebuffed other overseas offers of $2.4 million a show. A local promoter who pitched $14.4 million for six shows in three cities was told by agents for the Stones: 'You are not even in the ball park.' "
