Wasn't the Fab Four here last year at Starlight and called "Rain"?

I saw them last month in Olathe as Liverpool.

I saw them in the late 90s as Oasis.

Damn you Chris Robinson...a weeknight in Lawrence?!
I'm dating myself, but the last time I was inside the Granada, it was for a movie...ET or some shit like that. What's it like as a music venue...seating or GA?...acoustics/sightlines? Do tell.

Shows I've seen at the Granada have been GA. Acoustics and sightlines are okay. I like catching the Schwag there when they play.

Thanks, Steve, was hoping it would be a GA, open floor-type set-up for Mr.Robinson and company.

That would be a great show, but I too am old and a Wednesday night is tough to make. Although, Lawrence is almost as close to home as downtown.
Posted by: Steve | August 17, 2011 at 02:29 PM
Sadly, I'll probably miss as well since living on the eastside of the metro makes Lawrence a little too much of a weeknight hike for me.

the one thing to note is that a Granada show will start around the time on the ticket rather than places like The Record Bar, Jackpot and other smaller clubs where the headliner plays until 2am.

A show starting on time, what a novel concept.
Posted by: Steve | August 17, 2011 at 03:39 PM
I don't imagine Granada would have seating for that show.

A show not to miss...Ms. Shaun Murphy and her band will be at Knuckleheads Sept. 3. Not your genre? Think again. Shaun Murphy to some is a legend. First white female to be signed by Motown, her resume reads like a whos-who as a session singer, now on her own. Look her up (Shaun Murphy singer). I am traveling from D.C. to see her. You won't be sorry.

I don't care for the Granada as a place to showcase musical acts. I feel like Liberty Hall is much better suited for that. If the Granada is crowded, sight-lines are poor, unlike Liberty Hall.

A little late notice, but the Trails West Festival is happening in St.Joe this weekend. Not too bad a lineup for a somewhat affordable ($8?)price...Los Lonely Boys tonight and Fab T-Birds on Sat.night. Just a thought, especially to you Northlanders.

I saw Little Feat at the Beaumont Club in 2000. I think Shaun Murphy was with them at that point. She is good.

Attire, body language and manners count big time for interviews.
