I like Journey's latest singer and he can hit the high notes and is a good replacement for Steve Perry. I think he's from the Philippines.

I can't see that show even selling out Starlight (unless Perry is back). Is Journey bigger then other headliners at Starlight like Speedwagon, Boston and Boston?

I believe that Journey sold out Starlight in 2011 and did well overall on tour also. They even got the Legends of Live award from Billboard in 2011.

I saw JOURNEY in 2005 at Sandstone with STEVE AUGERI and their first three songs performed were off of the band's per-platinum lp's. I saw a LOT of bored husbands there with their (tickled pink) wives. I had a great time.

In 2006, I saw them co-headline with DEF LEPPARD. Their vocalist - then was original YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman, JEFF SCOTT SOTO. Very few in attendance even new who he was. I did and I sort of wish SOTO maybe would've stuck with JOURNEY for a bit longer. I'm tired of seeing them 'switch' vocalists.

Bubba, I think the new vocalist appeals more to the demographic you referenced earlier. This new incarnation is definitely for the housewife set. Just like last summer @ Starlight, my brother will be forced to take his wife to this. Lucky for me, my wife has better tastes.

Jeff Scott Soto is now with the Trans Siberian Orchestra and tours with their west touring company. TSO has two touring companies when, they tour every winter.
