Yeah, good price, but should they really charge any more for those Old Shawnee Days-type acts (literally, Mickey Thomas' Starship played there for free just a couple of summers ago)?
Obviously no Brad Delp singing, but does Tom Scholz still even tour with Boston?

That is like stealing. Too bad about Brad Delp.

Agreed PB. I saw Mickey and Starship at Jazzoo three years ago too. I think Shclz still tours with them. Without him, I'm not sure there would even be an original member in the lineup.

pellboy, I saw The Starship at Old Shawnee days a couple of years ago. Free show. Well worth the price of admission!
Don't think I will see this show at Starlight though. Although I really liked Boston when they first came out (Foreplay/Long Time anyone?) I got burnt out on them long ago. I figure anytime I need a Boston fix I can just tune to 101 The Fox, I think they still play them on an hourly basis...

Saw this lineup of Boston at Ameristar in 08, and man were they good, and Starship at Old Shawnee days was good and Night Ranger opened last year at Starlight with Styx
This will be a killer show GarUnTee

Not a bad show. BOSTON, NIGHT RANGER and STARSHP'S MICKEY THOMAS. Well, those last two bands have both been at the Old Shawnee Days festival. If BRAD DELP were still alive - mind you, BOSTON would likely be doing a no-opener tour - like they did in 2003 at Sandstone. I was there - had a great time. It's funny how every track on (especially) BOSTON'S first two lp's can live on THAT long. I still enjoy hearing "Long Time" on FM radio.
Long live BOSTON!!

ABS, who was their vocalist, was it the Tommy DeCarlo guy that they found on MySpace? From looking at some videos, he sounds a bit like Delp, but as a former Home Depot employee with no rock & roll experience, has zero stage presence. Looked like one of the guitarists had to help him out on most songs. I'm guessing he's gotten better (at least he looks the part now), but I'm not sure I want to take the chance. I'll just live with the memories of the performance (w/ Southside Johnny & Starcastle)I saw back in '77 at Nassau Coliseum.

I also liked their 'Third Stage' album that was released in '86 and it had some good songs on it.
Never have seen Boston live though.

Manning, 36, has always embraced the offseason regimen, and he said he's sure he wasn't the only one who was relieved Monday when NFL teams opened their doors for the voluntary offseason conditioning programs that were scuttled last year by the league's lockout.
